A strong academic background is combined with wide experience working in education, in both primary and secondary phases, and with outside agencies. A track record of successfully supporting students realise their academic potential, driven by the desire to develop effective strategies which instil in students a love for learning and the skills to become independent and lifelong learners.

He will work in your school helping bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be working with the adults and children that make up your learning community.

He has held a range of responsibilities within his 26 years of working in school; including curriculum leader, pastoral leader, Advanced Skills Teacher and member of Strategic Board. As an adviser for the Local Authority he led on RE, Careers, middle leader training and Post 16 Teaching and Learning. He is an assessor for the new RE Quality Mark and Career Mark and been the regional RE adviser in the south west. He is also an examiner for A Level Religious Studies.

He has produced numerous materials for use in schools, which have received national recognition and praise; including Programmes of Study, DVDs and ‘train the trainer’ materials.

His great passion is in developing strategies that develop the capacity of students to think. Blaise Pascal said it best: “Our dignity lies in our ability to think; let us strive to think well.”

He is regularly asked to speak at national and regional conferences for headteachers, LA officers and curriculum leaders. He has been regularly consulted by the Department for Education on RE and careers provision. He is an accomplished trainer and had provided hundreds of successful training programmes for teachers and other professionals. He also provides consultancy and reviews for individual schools on a wide range of areas.
